Best Recipe for Fresh Salsa
HOMEMADE SALSA RECIPE
4 large ripe tomatoes, chopped
1 onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 fresh jalapeno peppers, seeded and finely chopped
3 TBS fresh cilantro, finely chopped
1 TBS fresh lime juice
kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Combine ingredients and refrigerate for at least 4 hours to marinate.
Chunky Salsa Recipe
8 cups tomatoes, peeled, chopped and drained
2-1/2 cups chopped onions (I use sweet onions)
1-1/2 cups chopped green bell pepper
3/4 cup chopped fresh jalapeno, seeded (or use pickled jalapenos)
6 garlic cloves, minced
2 tsp cumin
2 tsp black pepper
1 to 2 TBS sea salt (taste it)
1/4 cup granulated white sugar
1/3 cup vinegar
2 cups tomato sauce
1-1/2 cups tomato paste
Mix everything together in a large pan and bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
